Development History
The first draft of In the Forest was written through Factory Theatre’s Performance Gym led by Kalale Dalton-Lutale. It was presented to a small audience on January 14th, 2026.

Production History
Shakespeare in the Ruff commissioned In the Forest for their 2026, 15th anniversary, season of Love. The annual mainstage production will be an adaptation of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy As You Like It, written by playwright Ho Ka Kei (Jeff Ho). Pre-show presentations of this 20-minute piece will be performed prior to the August 21st, 22nd and 23rd performances at Withrow Park.
